Finding the right acting coach can feel daunting, especially if you are just starting out or haven’t yet built up your community to lean on for recommendations. The industry is full of overnight promises and quick fixes, but lasting careers are built on sustainable habits, technical precision, and genuine mentorship. Alongside my twenty years of professional acting experience on stage and screen, I have dedicated myself to mastering the craft of education. Teaching isn't a side-gig for me; it's a vital part of my artistic practice. Over the past two decades, I have developed specialized curriculum for artists of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds—from absolute beginners to seasoned working professionals, and from neurotypical to differently-abled storytellers. As a resident instructor and guest artist at institutions like Arts Umbrella, Bard on the Beach, The Arts Club, Gateway Theatre, Shadbolt Centre, and UBC, I have learned how to tailor my teaching to meet an actor exactly where they are.

My approach is direct, practical, and entirely rooted in the realities of the current market. Whether we are breaking down a high-stakes network television audition or building the foundational habits required for a lifetime in the industry, the work remains grounded in specificity, honesty, and an absolute investment in your growth. I love teaching, and always strive to when I can. However, I balance my classes with an active shooting schedule and professional contracts, so my availability changes throughout the year. Audition Coachings / Self-tape Services

Private · 30min - 1hr+All levels - Online & In Person

One-on-one sessions tailored to your exact audition needs, available both in-studio and online. Whether you need an elite reader and coach to record your next high-stakes self-tape in our professional studio setup, or virtual technical guidance from home, you'll feel confident in delivering a competitive tape. By sharpening your specificity, artistic foundation, and technical execution, you will hit send on your submission with complete confidence.

What's Included

Reader: Work directly with a professional actor as your scene partner to get authentic, dynamic reactions.
Setup: Professional, broadcast-quality studio lighting, high-definition camera, and clean, industry-standard backdrops.
Turnkey Deliverables: Full-service editing, colour-grading, and file compression. You will walk away with a completely finished, submission-ready digital file before leaving the studio.

Booking Guidelines

30 Minutes — $50: Best for quick technical adjustments, short monologue tune-ups, or single-page under-5 roles.
60 Minutes — $90: Highly recommended for multi-page episodic sides, complex character work, or sessions requiring full setup, filming, and on-site editing.

Early Career Bootcamp

Take control of your acting career in a single weekend. This intensive workshop delivers cost-effective, actionable strategies to build a competitive edge in the West Coast market. Master your home self-tape setup, learn to edit your footage like a professional, and map out the local landscape of Vancouver agents and casting directors. You will leave knowing exactly what is shooting in town, who is casting it, and how to accurately decode the tone of any production.

Note

Best suited for graduates of post-secondary or foundational training programs, as well as artists transitioning from stage to screen. Private career consultations are available by referral only. Reduced rates and personalized curriculum available for educational institutes, non profits, and after school clubs.

Scene Study Class

Group Classes · 3 Hours over 4 weeksIntermediate–Advanced - In Person Only

Dive into advanced character work and rigorous script analysis using the best of classic and contemporary repertoire. Over a multi-week cycle, we break down the complexities of text through table work, exploration of character and physicality, while living through the imaginary circumstances of the piece as we get it up on its feet. Designed for intermediate to advanced actors, the session culminates in an invited showcase to share your work.

What's Explored

Table Work: Deep textual analysis — breaking down given circumstances, objectives, and the foundational architecture of the scene before it ever gets on its feet.
Physicality: Exploration and inhabitation of character through the body — how your character moves, occupies space, and responds to their world.
Invited Showcase: Each cycle culminates in a presentation of your work to an invited audience — Our goal is progress over product, but a real deadline is encouraged to sharpen our work and celebrate our progress.

On Camera Audition Class

Group Classes 3 HoursAll Levels - Online & In Person

Casting rooms move incredibly fast. You don't get a two-week rehearsal process to find the character; you have to find the stakes instantly, ground it in your body, and remain completely fluid when a director gives you a note that flips your choices on their head.

What's Explored

The Work: We breaking down current episodic and feature sides—often from the productions actively casting right here in town. Together, we'll strip away the technical anxiety of the frame, build strong habits that honor your instincts, and practice real-world solutions for real-world acting problems.
Who It's For: Whether you're trying to booking your first network guest star or just want to feel less restricted by the frame, this is where we put in the mileage.
