Incredible Mustache
With his signature comic style and a look that screams "Nick Offerman Muppet Baby," Erik Gow is that actor who stood out so much in the show you're currently bingeing that you are now creeping his IMDb profile, Instagram, and website on your phone.
Erik has been acting long enough to appear in reboots of the VHS and DVD series that inspired him when he started. His journey began at 16 when he tried joining a traveling Gilbert and Sullivan society—only to receive a lovely letter from the Artistic Director gently suggesting he "make better choices." Taking that advice, he spent his youth training at one of Canada's top conservatories and his twenties gracing major stages across the country. Over the past five years he's transferred his versatility and sharp comedic voice to film and television, cornering the market on creating fan-favourite memorable characters. Known as an exceptional collaborator, his initial guest and co-star bookings frequently turn into written-in recurring roles.
When not in front of the camera, Erik is a multi-hyphenate creator. He is a co-owner of Booklight Media, a produced playwright, and a composer. He has written for the OUTtv mockumentary The Dressing Room, and his half-hour comedy pilot, U.N.D.E.R. Achievers, has screened widely on the festival circuit. You can find samples of his stage plays, music, pilots, and features on the dedicated Industry Page. Also an in-demand educator, Erik has taught with Arts Umbrella, Bard on the Beach, The Arts Club, and Gateway Theatre, and is available for private coachings and workshops.
Off the clock, Erik is a proud full-time dad and husband who isn't afraid to embrace his big nerdy side. He can be found in local game stores, or desperately trying to keep up with his many unfinished D&D campaigns around filming dates and parenting duties. When given the gift of free time, he also peruses used bookstores, explores Vancouver's vibrant outdoors, and plays golf poorly.
